Fundraising

Our work wouldn’t be possible without the extraordinary generosity of our funders and corporate partners.
Supporting those affected by terrorism and intolerance, can affect anyone at any time. Whether you’re simply shopping, travelling locally or nationally, or abroad for pleasure or business.
Fundraising can not only be great fun, but a personal challenge. You can enjoy the time spent with your team and improve staff morale, while raising money for a great cause too.
Supporting our participants whose lives have been irreversibly changed by conflict and terrorism will be the best business decision you can make, whichever way you look at it!

President of Warrington Rotary Club, George Wilkinson, along with the Rotary members have taken the Tim Parry Johnathan Ball Peace Foundation as their charity for 2018/19 with the aim to raise £3000 to bring back the Tim Parry Scholarship that was the Foundations very first programme back in 1995. George & Pam Wilkinson are walking the 180 mile Pembrokeshire Coastal Path from Cardigan to Amroth, 15 days walking from 3rd to 17th September 2018 to raise funds towards a Leadership Development Project as organised by Warrington Rotary in partnership with the Tim Parry Johnathan Ball Peace Foundation. The Peace Foundation began its work as a living memorial to the two boys killed 25 years ago in the Warrington bombing with the aim to build connections between young people who might help lead us out of a troubled past. This project will bring together young people from Warrington and Northern & Southern Ireland and give them the skills to be in control of their emotions, think differently and behave with a conscience. They will understand the factors that contribute to conflict, how to disconnect with conflict and how to make positive connections with others. The young people will develop the ability to open a dialogue within and across communities. In January this year, the Tim Parry Johnathan Ball Peace Foundation launched its UNIQUE ACHIEVEMENT campaign to mark the 25th Anniversary of the IRA bombing in Warrington, which tragically claimed the lives of 12-year-old Tim Parry and 3-year-old Johnathan Ball. Speaking at Tim’s funeral, Colin said ‘If my son becomes a symbol for peace and gives everyone a new sense of hope after so much tragedy, then that will be Tim’s unique achievement’. The Foundation, which was established and named in memory of Tim and Johnathan, has become the leading UK provider of support to victims of terrorism and to young people and communities whose lives are affected by extremism and conflict. Collectively, the lives of all these people have been improved through the support programmes we have developed by using the knowledge and expertise we have gained over the years.   Kate Deakin, Relationship Manager said "This is a great, yet extremely challenging fundraising event and we wish George & Pam the very best wishes completing this on our behalf. It is very kind of George, Pam, and all the members of the Rotary to give up their precious time in order to help raise funds for the Peace Foundation and I just hope they know how grateful we all are." Events   Why not join us at our annual events, whether it’s a Black-Tie Ball, Golf Tournament, Bespoke Dinner or Christmas Party. Your support makes all the difference. Event Sponsorship   Sponsorship not only benefits the Foundation and the amount of money we can raise from our events, but it also helps to raise awareness of your business to a target audience. Depending on the level of sponsorship, we will add your Company name and logo on all event marketing material, in the event brochure, in our bi-annual ‘Peace Talks’ Newsletter and on our website and social media. Charity of the Year for 2018 Adopting the Foundation as your ‘Charity of the Year’ means you can create fun-filled events throughout 2018 and beyond. Your team building activities will increase morale and productivity while raising much-needed funding for a great cause. Gifts in Kind Gifts in kind, also sometimes referred to as in-kind donations, is a donation of goods or services. In the past, the Peace Foundation has been in a fortunate position of receiving building materials and trades people, allowing for rooms to be refurbished or altered.  As the Peace Centre ages, we will always need this kind of help. Challenge Yourself Each year, there are a number of challenge events around the UK. Marathons, half marathons, Tough Mudder, local, national or global Cycle rides, climbing Kilimanjaro or many more. All test us to our limits and all in the name of Charity! For some, it may be to achieve a personal goal or simply to prove a point! Whatever the reason, if you are thinking of doing something for charity, we would be delighted if it was for the Peace Foundation. Colours for Peace Take part in our annual ‘Colours for Peace’ day on March 20th, 2019. Dress in the colours of the Peace Foundation - green, blue or white and donate a £1.00 to our charity. Hundreds of schools, companies and individuals took part this year, raising thousands of pounds. Sponsor a Dove Why not sponsor a Dove and remember someone special?
