Peace Foundation ends involvement in London 7/7 commemoration

Tuesday 7th July 2020 is the 15th anniversary of the London July 2005 attacks, sometimes referenced as London 7/7.  The Peace Foundation’s national service to support victims of terrorism provides ongoing assistance to a number of individuals and families affected by the attacks and has for many years been the facilitator of a commemoration event at the memorial in Royal Hyde Park, run in partnership with the Mayor of London and supported by the Metropolitan Police, Transport for London, the Royal Parks, Rock Choir and a number of other partner agencies.

A physical ceremony will not take place this year due to social distancing restrictions and a number of people have formed a 7th July Committee, and are planning their own online event.  The Peace Foundation is standing down from any further involvement in this year’s event planning and anyone who wants to participate in 2020 should contact 7thjulycommunity@gmail.com

Our team of caseworkers remain available to support any Great Britain domiciled victim or survivor terrorism – contact SAN@peace-foundation.org.uk for free and confidential advice.
